DESCRIPTION AND TYPE:
The Garganega is the Veronese white grape par excellence. Produced by Massimago from the beginning of its history, from a small particle. The idea is that of a territorial white, which tells the potential of the lands of the Valle di Mezzane for clean and mineral wines, greedy and long-lived.
From a small particle of the Massimago in Mezzane di Sotto. A limestone vineyard of about 1200 plants with an average age of 25, raised in Pergola Veronese. The autochthonous Garganegavariety is produced here following the dictates of 100% organic cultivation. Processing in the vineyard and pruning are exclusively manual. The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes at the beginning of September, and immediately brought to the vinification phase.
The grapes are de-stemmed and transferred to a steel tank for a short cryo-maceration of a few hours. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for about 20 days.
Refiniment: for 30 months before bottling.
Bright yellow with greenish notes.
Strong notes of fruit with yellow flesh, yellow plum, white melon, grapefruit. Acacia and elder flowers.
Rich and pleasant with notes of yellow fruits, melon and fruit salad. Sapid and tasty notes with a nice acidic shoulder that makes drinking easier.
