Le Salette dates back to 1860, the year the sanctuary bearing the same name, and landmark for the Scamperle family business, was built. Today they own twenty hectares, boasting rows that are essential for creating absolute Valpolicella excellence. The company is located in Fumane Cà Carnocchio, I Progni and Cà Melchiori, Sant'Ambrogio Conca D'Oro and in San Floriano Monte Masua. They grow Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta, Molinara and Croatina grapes. In other words, all the typical varieties from the Valpolicella Classica area. Traditional, with Trentino-style pergola and Guyot-trained vines. The Scamperle family have a professional and caring attitude toward their hectares of land, which yield wines including Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso "I Progni", Veronese Igt"Cà Carnocchio", Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella, Passito bianco "Cesare", single-variety Molinara and, only if the vintage is really great, "Pergole Vece", both Amarone and Recioto. They also propose extra virgin olive oil in half-litre packages and Amarone grappa. Two items that have achieved the same success, consistent with and consequent to, the actual length of the company's "gamba" ("leg", in Italian), which boasts great experience.
