Gamba Gnirega farm is based in Valgatara, and belongs to brothers Giovanni, Giuseppe and Martino Aldrighetti. The siblings painstakingly handle the whole production process: from farming to pressing, from winemaking to bottling. This because they are well aware that unique wine must be cared for, in any tiny detail - especially nowadays.
But also the grapes are well looked after! That means Gamba winemakers only use high-quality grapes, which yield wines whose features reflect the peculiarities of the estate, which is closely bound to the Valpolicella Classica area. The six-hectare vineyard is arranged on terraces, in the rolling hills, around 300 metres above sea level. Intense and full-bodied Amarone Campedel is the gem of the wine cellar. Campedel also features Valpolicella Ripasso and the Igt (Igt = recognition awarded to wine from a specific area in Italy) wine, exclusive to this producer, made from Croatina, Corvina and Corvinone grapes. The "Le Quare" range lists Amarone, Ripasso, Valpolicella Classico, Recioto della Valpolicella Doc and Rosso Veronese.
Guided visits can help you understand, at least visually and through taste and smell, the quality of Gamba winemakers' products.
