Being brought up in a vinedresser's family, and having taken his first steps among the vineyards, Sebastiano Righetti, a young producer from the village of Fumane, decided to follow in his father's and grandfather's footsteps - a path perfectly combining tradition and modernity.
His vineyards, which he personally tends to, are located in specially devoted spots, in the the very heart of the Valpolicella Classica area: Creari, Campetto, Campo di Sotto. “Crosarola”, a family-run business, was established in 2000, and since then has been processing Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, and Oseleta grapes. Such varietis are complemented by some Cabernet Sauvignon and Rebo rows, essential for his special grape blend.
The pursuit of quality, and the best vintage grape selection, stimulate Sebastiano to produce Valpolicella Classico Doc 2015, Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso Doc 2013, El Boteghin Igt 2012 (obtained by blending 2008 and 2009 wine), Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2010, and Recioto Classico della Valpolicella Docg 2012. They are all created under natural conditions, with no rush.
A range of natural products, passionate and intriguing. Wines that have also gained international recognition, like the silver medal at the ”La selezione del sindaco” (The Mayor's selection) contest, in 2006. Crosarola is a small winery able to create great wines.
