Wines From Classico Region
In business since 1969, Le Ragose winery is all about working and experimenting to innovate Valpolicella's leading products: its wines. Parents Arnaldo and Marta before, followed by children Paolo and Marco, have devoted themselves to quality, growing the main indigenous vine varieties (Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella) for making Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella.
Quality that depends on choosing the appropriate standards when planting vines (here trained simple Trentino pergola) and planning their ideal arrangement in the Valpolicella hills. This process yields excellent grapes which the company submits to further selection, to only use the best each year.
Ageing is mainly carried out in Slavonia oak barrels, holding 10 to 60 hectoliters. The aroma and taste they release endows wine with the character needed to be listed as an excellence from one of the most appreciated lands in the winemaking world, namely the Valpolicella area.
The philosophy passed down by the parents, and cherished by their offspring, also involves enlarging the company's structure. Grappa and oil complete the output with an unusual touch, proposing Cabernet Sauvignon and Raghos Ammandorlato.
